When is Poverty a Virtue and Wealth a Vice

Keynote address given by Bishop Godfrey Onah (Diocese of Nsukka, Nigeria) at the 2017 Notre Dame Fall Conference titled “When is Poverty a Virtue and Wealth a Vice? The Struggle Between Good and Evil in the Consciousness of Contemporary Nigerian Christians.” This was a part of the Fall Conference of 2017 called, “Through Every Human Heart.” The Conference explored the perennial problem of good and evil, the significance of this distinction for human flourishing and the common good, and the place of good and evil in the theory and practice of various academic disciplines.
