Pilot Program to Create Cyber Infrastructure Model for National Science Foundation Facilities

Researchers from the University of Notre Dame will contribute expertise to a pilot project to create a model and strategic plan for a Cyberinfrastructure Center of Excellence. Co-principal investigator Jarek Nabrzyski, director of the Center for Research Computing at Notre Dame (CRC) and professor of the practice and a concurrent associate professor of computer science and engineering; Jane Wyngaard, data scientist at the CRC; and Charles Vardeman, research assistant professor of computer science and engineering and data scientist at the CRC, will help establish best practices for cyberinfrastructure development, which can then be applied to the National Science Foundation’s large research facilities.
