Has the way we work changed forever? We talk about the future (post-pandemic) as a return to the past — a pathway back to the way we were living, conducting business, and communing — but what can we learn from this experience to better prepare ourselves for the next big change? During this series of the Kylemore Book Club, we examine a way of thinking and envisioning the ambiguity of the future. We identify ways to be equipped for the turbulence and disruption of change in whatever stage of life we are currently inhabiting. Guided by our expert faculty who will join us over the next four weeks, we will continue to read and engage with professionals who have studied and written about the ways in which we can build resilience and focus on the importance of reflection through creativity. Whether you knit, write, or paint, this outlet is a means in which we cope with the onslaught of uncertainty, despair, and sorrow.
Together over the next few weeks, we will convene to once again build community and bring you to Kylemore for a short spell to hear from faculty, researchers, and poets to better understand the dynamics of change and its signals and to explore the psychology behind why we choose to ignore them.
Join the community for the live Kylemore Book Club sessions and share in the discussions on Wednesdays, February 10, 17, 24, and March 3 at 1 p.m. ET (6 p.m. IST).
