Alexandria Award Book Club

Alexandria Award Book Club for students in grades 3-5 or 6-8.

The 2023 Alexandria Award-winning novel, A Wish in the Dark, by Christina Soontornvat, beautifully blends Thai culture with the essence of the classic Les Misérables. This engaging narrative centers on Pong, a kind-hearted boy born in prison. His path crosses with Nok, a diligent rule follower, and they navigate a world steeped in themes of justice, elitism, morality, and freedom.

Book clubs will meet 1 hour, 1 day per week, for 8 weeks. Choose from possible times between 4-7:30 PM Monday – Thursday.

Book clubs will begin on February 5 and run through April 12. Available times range between Monday, February 5, 2024 and Thursday February 9, 2024, with time slots between 4:00pm to 7:00pm ET.
