Urban Planning in Nazi Germany

Based on his 2025 Architecture Book Award title, Urban Planning in Nazi Germany, Dr. Harald Bodenschatz will speak about urban planning under Hitler’s regime. The award citation reads, “…(the book) is both exhaustive and terrifying in equal measure. It is commendable that German scholars were willing to look at this dark historical period with such rigor and candor: other nations should likewise be scrutinizing their own unsavory built heritage.”

Join us on Wednesday, March 18, 2026, from 5:15 p.m. to 6:15 p.m. ET.

Speaker:
Dr. Harald Bodenschatz, Sociologist and urban planner, former University Professor for Sociology of Architecture and Urban Planning at the Technische Universität Berlin
