University of Notre Dame at Tantur

Dear Friends,

This was another fantastic summer for Notre Dame in Jerusalem. The ā€œTanturā€ campus was vibrant as ever. More than 30 undergraduate students joined the various summer programs of the Jerusalem Global Gateway. Two conferences were held at Tantur as well this summer. Professor Corey Angst from the Mendoza College of Business in collaboration with Tel Aviv University ran a conference on the societal impacts of online gaming with focus on the Middle East and North Africa, and Professor Fr. Khaled Anatolios from the Theology Department and senior Ecumenical Fellow, ran his yearly Ecumenical Colloquium on Divine and Human Righteousness in the Christian Scriptures.

In the same period, the Jerusalem Global Gateway kicked off two new major programs. The Gateway welcomed more than 100 candidates to a one-month long evaluation process for its newly introduced program in software engineering/computer coding, adam: coding & beyond. The Gateway joined forces with the Pulte Institute for Global Development, and the Mendoza College of Business to establish the inaugural Reimagining Business Excellence program. The program was organized and hosted by the University of Notre Dameā€™s Global Gateway in Jerusalem with a goal-oriented, guided-learning curriculum, the program serves leaders and entrepreneurs that work and care for the Middle East and North Africa (MENA). These programs ran in parallel to the other programs for the Gateway (e.g. language programs) and those of the Tantur Ecumenical Institute.

The Jerusalem Global Gateway and Tantur Ecumenical Institute are pleased to share opportunities for learning at the link below with the Notre Dame community here on ThinkND.
Blessings from the Holy Land,
