William Reno is the Payson S. Wild Professor and Chair of the Department of Political Science at Northwestern University. His current research focuses on the politics of foreign military training. He is the PI of a Defense Education – Civilian University Partnership (Minerva) research project, “Foreign Military Training: Building Effective Armed Forces in Weak States.” His previous research concentrated on the politics of conflict in weak and collapsed states.
