The 2025 Conway Lectures Day Two: Setting Records

In honor of Robert M. and Ricki Conway, the Medieval Institute’s annual Conway Lectures bring senior scholars of international distinction to Notre Dame each fall to speak on topics across a variety of disciplines. The theme of the 2025 Conway Lectures is “Setting Records: Cross-Cultural Perspectives on Medieval Chanceries.”

Join us for the second day on Friday, September 26, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. ET. All lectures will be held in-person at the Eck Visitors Center and livestreamed.

Speakers:
10:00–11:30 a.m.: Adam Benkato (UC Berkeley), “Reconstructing Sasanian and post-Sasanian Chanceries: Where do the Middle Persian documents fit in?”
11:45 a.m.–12:45 p.m.: Speaker Roundtable and Audience Q&A
