Registration – Consider This!

The current pandemic and “FAKE NEWS” has brought science and research to the forefront of our vernacular, highlighting the vital importance that we understand the terminology, technology, and scientific process to be an informed citizenry.  Consider This! COVID-19 Webinar, hosted by Notre Dame Professors Heidi Beidinger-Burnett (Director of the Global Health Master’s Program and President of the St. Joseph County Board of Health) and Mary Ann McDowell (Associate Professor of Biological Sciences) and sponsored by the Eck Institute for Global Health and the Office of the Provost will be a weekly conversation unpacking the science and research behind such topics as vaccines, epidemiology, public health, testing, food security, racial inequities, and evidence used to inform decisions about opening schools, athletics, and businesses.

The series is supported by the College of Science’s Edison Lectures, the Eck Institute for Global Health, and the Office of the Provost at Notre Dame. Read the press release here.

Every Monday evening 6:00 – 7:00 p.m. (Eastern Time) starting October 5th, Beidinger-Burnett and McDowell will host Notre Dame and community experts to explore each of these issues in-depth, explaining the science and research that underpins each topic in an accessible manner.
