Mobilizing Ideas: Labor, Race, and Coalition Building

The Mobilizing Ideas blog from the Center for the Study of Social Movements has introduced an exciting change in the way they provide content. Although they continue to feature essays written by social movement scholars on various themes, they also focus their our attention on developing and sharing videos featuring a broad range of social movement scholars allowing the Notre Dame community to get to know scholars in the field and their work. Videos provide scholars with opportunities to talk about their ongoing work, but also to provide insightful commentary on contemporary issues that are of interest to activists, social movement scholars, and the community at large.

The Editors-in-Chief of Mobilizing Ideas are Rory McVeigh, Nancy Reeves Dreux Professor in Sociology; Director, Center for the Study of Social Movements, Chang Liu, Ph.D. student in Sociology and a Ph.D. Fellow at the Kellogg Institute for International Studies, and Natalie Bourman-Karns, Ph.D. student in Sociology.
