Merry Christmas from the University of Notre Dame Liturgical Choir

University of Notre Dame Liturgical Choir under the direction of Dr. Andrew McShane, Basilica of the Sacred Heart, Notre Dame, IN.

The Liturgical Choir is a choral group at the University of Notre Dame’s Basilica of the Sacred Heart sponsored by the Office of Campus Ministry. Its repertoire is drawn on the diverse traditions of a cappella and accompanied sacred music from the Renaissance through the twentieth century. The choir provides musical leadership for the Basilica’s 10 am Sunday Mass as well as for a variety of other Basilica and University liturgies such as Sunday Vespers, weddings, dedications, ordinations, Advent Lessons & Carols and special University liturgies such as Junior Parents’ Weekend and the Baccalaureate Mass. Holy Week is especially important to the Choir, who sings for Palm Sunday, Tenebrae, the Good Friday Celebration of the Lord’s Passion, the Easter Vigil, Easter Mass, and Easter Vespers.
