Cocktail with a Curator: David Acton, Curator of Photographs, Raclin Murphy Museum of Art

Amelia Stein, White Sable, 2012, The Big Sky Series, Gelatin silver print. Raclin Murphy Museum of Art, Milly and Fritz Kaeser Endowment for Photography, 2021.021.008.

Let’s mix things up! What better way to spend St. Patrick’s Day and celebrate Who Do We Say We Are? Irish Art 1922 | 2022 than to join us for an Irish-themed Cocktail with a Curator, a program that toasts amazing works of art with deliciously themed cocktails. Spend time with David Acton, Curator of Photographs, looking closely at the work of Irish photographer Amelia Stein, RHA, while enjoying “The Massey,” a cocktail selected to complement the artworks. If the themed cocktail isn’t to your taste or if you are under 21, please join us with a beverage of your choice.

This program will take place on Zoom and is designed to be interactive. There will be opportunities for conversation among attendees and a Q & A with the curator. Join us on Thursday, March 17, 2022, from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. ET.

For more information visit the event website.

In preparation for the program, spend some time exploring a few of Stein’s artworks from the Who Do We Say We Are? Irish Art 1922 | 2022 exhibition. All images © Amelia Stein.
