Center for the Study of Languages and Cultures

Dear Friends,

The Center for the Study of Languages and Cultures (CSLC) is dedicated to the advancement of linguistic proficiency and cultural awareness for students, staff, faculty, and spouses in all languages across the Notre Dame community. They do this through educational collaborations, instructional and technological support, and language and cultural enrichment.

They work closely with the broader Notre Dame community, specifically the College of Arts and Letters, language departments and programs, the Keough School of Global Affairs, the College of Engineering, the Law School, Notre Dame International, Mendoza College of Business, Academic Services for Student-Athletes, and various institutes across campus.

They provide a portfolio of programs including pedagogical and technological workshops, individual consultation, multimedia services, research support (scholarship of teaching and learning) and course design assistance (face-to-face, hybrid, online). These programs empower ND language faculty to design effective and engaging learning environments for their students.

The CSLC facilitates advanced-level proficiency in less commonly taught languages (LCTLs), literature and culture, linguistics, and TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages).

ThinkND is pleased to share opportunities to learn through the Center for the Study of Languages and Cultures with our learning community. Join us!

Inspire your mind and spark conversations.
