Meet the Moderator: Adam Kronk ’02, ’09 MNA

Directly before joining the Institute for Ethics and the Common Good as Director of Research Strategy and External Engagement, Adam Kronk ’02, ’09 MNA served as Chief Culture & Leadership Development Officer for Lippert Components, a publicly traded manufacturing company. Prior to that, he led La Lumiere School, an independent, Catholic high school with a mission to form character, cultivate scholarship, and explore faith. Having started his career as a high school English teacher, Adam worked overseas as Notre Dame’s Director of Campus Ministry Outreach in Europe, before returning to South Bend and serving as Chief Operating Officer of the Center for the Homeless. He then moved to Cambodia to work with an educational nonprofit in rural Siem Reap. Upon returning to the States, he helped launch the Notre Dame Deloitte Center for Ethical Leadership in the Mendoza College of Business. In addition to bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Notre Dame, Adam holds a doctorate in education from Vanderbilt University.
Meet the Panelist: Alessandro DiSanto ’15

Alessandro DiSanto ’15 is one of the co-founders at Hallow, the #1 prayer app in the world. Raised in a large Italian-American family, Alessandro is a proud product of Catholic education from kindergarten through college, ultimately graduating summa cum laude from the University of Notre Dame with degrees in finance and economics. Alessandro began his career on Wall St, at Goldman Sachs in New York City before becoming a private equity investor in Chicago.
After a series of life-changing experiences in prayer, Alessandro left his career in finance to join his friends in building Hallow, a Catholic prayer and meditation app. Alessandro serves as CFO and leads Hallow’s efforts in supporting the institutional church, especially in the area of Catholic education. In February 2024, Hallow was the first religious or wellness app in history to reach #1 spot in the App Store, above every other app across all categories. Launched six years ago, Hallow has rapidly grown, achieving more than 20 million downloads, 600 million prayers prayed across 8 languages, and 200,000 five-star reviews, making it the #1 Catholic app worldwide. The team has grown to 100 and has raised >$100M in venture funding.
Alessandro is a founding member and venture partner at the 81 Collection, a Chicago-based venture capital fund focused on providing capital to founders in industries often overlooked by traditional venture capital funds. He also advises early-stage technology start-ups on go-to-market and corporate strategy.
Along with the other co-founders of Hallow, Erich Kerekes ’15 and Alex Jones ’15, Alessandro was recognized as a member of the Forbes 30 Under 30 class of 2021 for consumer technology. Alessandro serves on the Board of Trustees of the Catholic Institute of Technology, the Department of Economics Advisory Board at the University of Notre Dame, and is a 4th Degree Knight of Columbus. He lives in Chicago with his wife and two sons.
Meet the Panelist: Amanda VanOverbeke

As Chief of Staff for Accenture’s Americas CEO, Amanda VanOverbeke is responsible for ensuring Accenture’s agenda is effectively represented with clients, in leadership forums, and at internal and external engagements. She is responsible for managing across critical company priorities and high-profile initiatives for a $30B business. Amanda is a problem solver with almost thirty years of experience navigating complex issues. With a history across industries and technologies she has built a comprehensive network that can come together to solve any problem. Outside of work you can find Amanda outdoors in Minnesota – celebrating any season with her husband and two sons. She loves to snow shoe, hike, boat, and sometimes even weed the garden. If it’s inclement she can be found enjoying a glass of wine and serving as an excellent sous chef. Come rain or shine she’ll be rooting for the Notre Dame Fighting Irish.
Meet the Panelist: David Yeager, PhD ’04, ’06 M.Ed.

David Yeager, PhD ’04, ’06 M.Ed., is a professor of psychology at the University of Texas at Austin and the cofounder of the Texas Behavioral Science and Policy Institute. He is best known for his research conducted with Carol Dweck, Angela Duckworth, and Greg Walton on short but powerful interventions that influence adolescent behaviors such as motivation, engagement, healthy eating, bullying, stress, mental health, and more. He has consulted for Google, Microsoft, Disney, and the World Bank, as well as for the White House and the governments in California, Texas, and Norway. His research has been featured in The New York Times Magazine, The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, Scientific American, CNN, Fox News, The Guardian, The Atlantic, and more. Clarivate Web of Science ranks Yeager as one of the top 0.1% most-influential psychologists in the world over the past decade. Prior to his career as a scientist, he was a middle school teacher and a basketball coach. He earned his PhD and MA at Stanford University and his BA and MEd at the University of Notre Dame. He lives in Austin, Texas, with his wife and their four children.
