On October 13, 2019, Notre Dame students studying abroad in Dublin and Galway made the pilgrimage to Rome for the canonization Mass of John Henry Newman. They gathered with their peers from the Rome Global Gateway, Irish parishioners of Newman University Church, and other supporters of Newman from around the world in St. Peter’s Square for the historic occasion. The students’ trip was generously supported by the Naughton Family.
