Introduction to PARISH: Preserving and Recording Ireland’s Sacred Heritage

PARISH is a multi-year research project designed to build a digital record of the social history materials held within Ireland’s 3,000+ Catholic Churches. The project will support a fully searchable, free web platform, making this data accessible to anyone, anywhere in the world, with an interest in Irish social history, architecture, Irish genealogy, or Catholic heritage.

PARISH is a joint research project of the Keough-Naughton Institute for Irish Studies at the University of Notre Dame, and Maynooth University.
