Fr. Ted Said… Civil & Human Rights: David Hooker

David Hooker, Associate Professor of the Practice of Conflict Transformation and Peacebuilding, speaks as part of the Alumni Association’s Fr. Ted Said Speaker Series during Reunion 2019. The series offers thought-provoking talks by ND faculty and alumni that explore the world’s most pressing problems and honor the legacy of Fr. Hesburgh.

Hooker is a Core Faculty member of the Kroc Institute for International Peace Studies, and part of the Keough School of Global Affairs. Hooker has worked with communities, governments, and NGOs and civil society organizations on post-conflict community building, environmental justice, and other issues of public policy and social justice. He has managed multiparty conflicts, conducted workshops, and consulted across the U.S. and around the world. Hooker is also a lawyer who has represented the State of Georgia as an Assistant Attorney General.
