Five Years of Peace Agreement Implementation in Colombia: Insights from the Kroc Institute

December 1, 2021 marks the 5th anniversary of implementation of the peace agreement between the Colombian government and the former FARC-EP that ended the country’s deadly 52 year armed conflict.

Since 2016, the University of Notre Dame’s Kroc Institute for International Peace Studies has been tasked with primary responsibility for technical verification and monitoring implementation of the accord through the Peace Accords Matrix (PAM) Barometer Initiative. PAM monitors implementation of 578 stipulations contained in the text of the Final Accord.

Recognizing this important milestone, the Kroc Institute will present key findings from their special report assessing implementation five years after the Final Agreement to End the Armed Conflict and Build a Stable and Lasting Peace was signed.

This event will be in Spanish with simultaneous English translation provided. Join us on Tuesday, December 7, 2021, from 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. ET.

Speakers:
(Welcome) Asher Kaufman, John M. Regan, Jr. Director; Professor of History and Peace Studies
