Colloquium presented at the Notre Dame Center for Ethics and Culture’s 17th Annual Fall Conference, “You Are Beauty: Exploring the Catholic Imagination.” The speakers are Dony MacManus, an Irish sculptor and educator working in Florence, Italy and John Haldane: professor of philosophy and director of the Centre for Ethics, Philosophy and Public Affairs at the University of St. Andrews and the J. Newton Rayzor, Sr., Distinguished Professor of Philosophy at Baylor University, as well as a Permanent Research Fellow of the ND Center for Ethics and Culture. “You Are Beauty: Exploring the Catholic Imagination” explored the relationship between the imagination, beauty, truth, and religion in a variety of contexts, particularly the arts, music, architecture, literature, philosophy, theology, political theory, and the sciences.
