Voicing Enclosure in Byzantine Historical Writing: Spaces, Characters, and Authors

Each year, our Byzantine Studies Program offers a workshop with the year’s Byzantine Studies Fellow. 

Join the Medieval Institute for its Seventh Annual Byzantine Fellowship Workshop on “Voicing Enclosure in Byzantine Historical Writing: Spaces, Characters, and Authors”. This year’s workshop features our 2025–26 fellow, Christodoulos Papavarnavas, and speakers Juan Signes Codoñer (Complutense University of Madrid), Stephanos Efthymiadis (Open University of Cyprus), and Anthony Kaldellis (University of Chicago).

Registration is free and open to all, and lunch will be provided for in-person guests.
