Rethinking theology

In “Rethinking Theology,” five young international Simone Weil scholars from Germany, Denmark, the UK, and the US discuss the political thinker/religious divide in their search for a theology that is accountable to the political implications it always bears. They explore through the lens of Simone Weil the role theology can play in the crises and aporias of the twenty-first century, asking what ultimately matters. Issues to be discussed are climate denialism, Christian white nationalism and the importance of beauty, prayer, and force in everyday life. Join us on Friday, April 8, 2022, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. ET.
