John Behrens ’83, Professor of the Practice and Director, Technology and Digital Studies Program; Director, College of Arts & Letters Office of Digital Strategy, University of Notre Dame
John Behrens ’83 is Professor of the Practice and Director of the Technology and Digital Studies Program at the University of Notre Dame. He also serves as Concurrent Professor of the Practice in Computer Science & Engineering and Director of Digital Strategy for the College of Arts & Letters. Drawing on more than 20 years of industry experience, Dr. Behrens has led global efforts in educational software development and innovation in data science and artificial intelligence. He has published over 50 academic papers and has been featured in the popular press, including Forbes and The Wall Street Journal, for his insights on AI. At Notre Dame, he co-teaches the popular course “Generative AI in the Wild” and leads undergraduate research and public engagement initiatives on AI through the NewAI Project.

Kay Wigton McBrearty ’85 is the founder and CEO of Waterville Partners, a firm leading individuals through a self-discovery process enabling them to create a sustainable plan for achieving career fulfillment and working with organizations or corporate clients on culture and change management projects. Her unique coaching lens includes 19 years in the corporate world prior to pursuing career coaching, her true calling. She graduated from Notre Dame, where she later served on the Dean’s Advisory Council for Mendoza College of Business and currently serves as a career coach for the Alumni Association. She has interviewed, hired, managed, mentored, and coached thousands of candidates.
