A lot has happened since our May 2016 episode. After host Ted Barron became the DPAC’s Executive Director, the search began for a new cinema curator. Now, our new Cinema Program Director, Ricky Herbst, makes his Establishing Shot hosting debut! In this episode, Ted reboots Establishing Shot with Ricky’s origin story. They chat about Rudy, the virtues of homemade movies, building film communities, and January’s cinema schedule.
