Dr. Veronica Alonzo ’97, the Associate Superintendent of Academic Excellence for the Catholic Diocese of Dallas, brings over 27 years of passionate service to Catholic education within the Diocese of Austin (4 years) and Dallas. Her career began in the classroom as a teacher and has flourished through roles as an assistant principal and principal in various Catholic schools.
A proud graduate of the University of Notre Dame, Veronica started her educational journey with the Alliance for Catholic Education, where she taught middle school math and science at St. Cecilia. Her pursuit of excellence led her to earn both a Master’s degree and a doctoral degree in educational leadership.
As a first-generation high school and college graduate and the eldest of five siblings—each with their own college degrees—Veronica carries forward the legacy of her family’s hard work and dedication. She attributes her love for learning and devotion to Our Lady of Guadalupe to her parents, whose values have guided her throughout her career.
Known for her tireless work ethic, unwavering commitment, and vibrant spirit, Veronica continues to inspire and uplift those around her, nurturing excellence within Catholic schools and beyond.
