Prof. Dr. Bernd Cyffka
Dr. Bernd Cyffka is a full professor at CU Eichstätt-Ingolstadt since 2005 and has headed the Floodplain Institute since 2006. He is a country representative for Germany in the IAD (International Association for Danube Research) as well as head of the expert group ‘Floodplain Ecology’ in the same association since 2015. He is president of IAD since January 2022. He is a member of several national and international organizations and networks in the area of hydrology and river/floodplain ecology. His research interests are in the fields of floodplain ecology, restoration, ecosystem services, hydromorphology and ecyhydrology.
